Happy 18th Anniversary My Love

Today we celebrate our 18th Anniversary and we are spending the day with our family. However, tonight it is with you my King. Our road has not been easy but I am so grateful that we chose to stay the course and raise our family as one unit. I never wanted my family exposed to "outside people or things" that can harm a family unit and we have been blessed to keep our family protected in that sense.

As we watch our son graduate next month and as we enjoyed his award ceremonies..... I could only smile to see the two of you in one anothers presence. I am grateful that you loved me enough to overlook my weaknesses and love me for who I am. Flaws and all you try to make me feel flawless at my lowest moments and for that I am eternally grateful.

We have our moments like any couple but we have been able to focus on what is important and wear many, many hats to fulfill our duties to our children and attempt to enjoy the life God has blessed us to have with each other. As we move forward, we move forward with new beginnings as the 8 represents just that! I love you dearly and I pray that God continues to bless our life together and you as the head of our home. Helping you to excel at everything you put your hands to. May the Blessings be so abundant that we can not contain it. "I Love You Dearly My Great King! My Great Man of God!" Blessings......

What a small world! Seeing Special Ed

Yesterday as I took my homeschooler to the gym for his class I ran into Special Ed. It was rather ironic as I was the infatuated teen who had to meet him and of course God granted that desire as Special Ed selected about 4 of us out of the audience to take pictures backstage after the concert. He was still just as pleasant and humble as he was in the 90's.

I said that's Special Ed to my son..... should I ask him? My son responded "Mom that's not right." So I asked and he smiled and said yes and my son said "oh the rapper." It was too funny. What a small world we live in. I have always admired his music because it had meaning. He was gifted in rhyming with true thought. Hope to see him or his offspring come out with more meaningful cd's in the near future! :-)

Winning in every sense of the word! Congratulations Remi!

On May 14, 2011 we were blessed to see my beautiful neice walk across the stage and receive a dual degree in Biology and Psychology from Winston Salem University. She not only graduated, she graduated with honors Magna Cum Laude.

I know it was bittersweet for her on November 16, 2005 because we were to celebrate her birthday but instead she turned to me and said "did grandma have to go on my birthday Auntie." I hope she understands that God has used her to show that it was not in vain. Grandma worked so hard so that one day the future generations would not have to. She wanted so much for us to have more and be more. So when you walked across the stage it was not only de ja vu. It was so much more significant because you did what was expected, you did even better than the generations that came before you.

Remi I am so proud of your marvelous determination and efforts. I could not be happier to say you brought forth a Victory that was long overdue making Grandma so proud. You won baby girl in so many ways and we are all so very proud of you! Keep shining your light and continue to win in every sense of the word.

The Miracles are here

I have written my story in an effort to be totally transparent. I can not say all these things were self created. It was in my weakest moments that God began to show up and move on my behalf. I have been silent for the past few weeks and just watched how amazing God is.

I had a tough month sifting through Moms things on her birthday and Mothers Day, well honestly I could not drag myself out of the bed. I thought God I am suppose to be overjoyed. I am blessed with 5 beautiful children and a husband that loves me dearly. I have the best sisters and friends in the world. Why am I sad? Last year I was at peace with Mommy dying. I enjoyed my Mother's Day. This year I was bogged with debt and sadness. I was depressed and God's children are not depressed.

Yet in the twinkle of an eye God paid off a debt that was heavy on my heart. I am talking about thousands not hundred dollar debts. I was free. I danced a jig and celebrated so hard it was amazing. Talk about God granting the desires of your heart. It was money that had been held up for so long. I had many things I wanted to do (like take a cruise, do some marketing) but the debts being paid off was so much more important to me. I believe when we do things in order the latter desires will be fulfilled.

So note there is so much to share. I am just in a quiet place giving God the absolute glory for blessing my children in their educational opportunities and so much more. Keep praising saints the miracle is here!

An amazing Mother Son Night Out at Sterling Elementary School

I must say God never ceases to amaze me. This week has been filled with one surprise after another. Last night was the Mother/Son dance at my children's school and I must say I was extremely impressed with the effort and success of the event. I heard some say there weren't enough people as the greatest disappointment. However, what God whispered in my ear rang true. It was not the quantity but the quality......so don't despise small beginnings. It was awesome to see the Mothers get on the dance floor with their Prince and thoroughly enjoy the evening. It truly made me realize I need to get out and enjoy life even more.

I totally enjoyed seeing my sons on the dance floor with their friends. I loved dancing with my Princes and my King; I so appreciated my sister being my youngest sons' date for the evening. Little Vic was tickled by having his hot Auntie as "his date."

I must say that the entire staff both the Principal and Vice Principal were in attendance and were grooving with the children. I truly saw such warmth in the eyes of all involved. Ms. M was just fantastic with her choir of boys singing "Momma" it really touched my heart. Ms. M can truly dance .......she absolutely has the rhythm! Let us not forget the awesome table cloths that Ms. Hood took time to iron. It was absolutely so generous of the staff to give of their time and talents and the PTA .......my hats off to the tireless effort you spent pulling off this awesome event. Considering it was Mother's Day, the sacrifice was outstanding. I could not have asked for a better night.

Last but not least I must say my husband did an outstanding job! He had Justice being one of the photographers to later create videos with Walter and Taylor serving. I am always impressed when he takes time to give of himself and shares the talents that God has gifted him to share with others. For example, whenever he says I can make something, I know to just let him do his thing. He took wood and turned them into valet stands. Only God could have gifted him with the talent to take a piece of wood and turn it into a beautiful decor! Congratulations "Mr. Eddie Perfect" you did your thing and I am just overjoyed to see you using your gifts and talents in the greatest way GIVING! :-)
